With recent changes to the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), there are now updated eligibility criteria for partners seeking an open work visa. If your partner holds an AEWV, you may now qualify under new conditions.
Your partner can support your open work visa if they meet one of the following criteria:
- ANZSCO Skill Levels 1-3: If they are employed in an ANZSCO Level 1-3 role and earn at least $26.85 per hour.
- Green List Roles: If their job is not in ANZSCO Levels 1-3 but is on the Green List, they must earn at least $33.56 per hour.
- Transport or Care Sector Roles: If they are in an approved role within the Transport or Care sector, earning the required sector-specific wage.
ANZSCO Skill Levels 4-5: If they are in an ANZSCO Level 4-5 role and earn at least $50.34 per hour.
Already Have a Partner Work Visa with Conditions?
If your open partner work visa has conditions, you may be eligible to have them removed as long as your partner meets one of the above AEWV criteria. Removing these conditions could open the door to greater flexibility and broader employment opportunities for you.
