June Ranson was recently interviewed on the Morning Report – Radio New Zealand – alongside Royal New Zealand College of GPs president Dr Samantha Murton.
This radio interview touched on the need for streamlining the process for healthcare immigrants to join us here in New Zealand and providing them with the right support, General Practice (GP) is as important as hospital care and of course the need for aged residential care professionals.
New Zealand is approximately 3,000 nurses short and incentives are needed to encourage medical professionals to come here, and the Government doesn’t seem to understand what that means.
