Immigration NZ have advised that Israeli nationals are eligible to visit New Zealand under the Visa Scheme. This allows Israelis to apply for NZ entry upon arrival. This means there is no need for a formal visa application unless the applicant’s visa waiver status has been revoked. It’s a convenient and streamlined process for travellers looking to explore or conduct business in New Zealand. Visa waiver travellers are required to obtain an NZeTA online, up to 24 hours before travel to New Zealand.

For those seeking work, study or resident visas, the application process remains largely unchanged. You will still need to meet the standard immigration requirements, which have not been altered since the conflict began. The only significant update is that priority processing has been introduced for Israeli and Palestinian nationals, ensuring faster processing times for you.

All other visa requirements, such as health, character and financial eligibility, remain as they were prior to the recent developments. There are no changes to the broader immigration policies at this time, so if you are an applicant you should continue to prepare your applications according to the usual guidelines.
